Welcome to the Office of Youth Affairs (OYA) website. The OYA website includes information about programs OYA runs and how young Territorians can get involved in activities across the NT. OYA helps young Territorians keep informed and actively involved in making things happen in their community. The four programs OYA focuses on are Youth Engagement Grants, the Youth Minister´s Round Table of Young Territorians (Round Table), Youth Policy Framework and National Youth Week (NYW) − and you can find out more about these initiatives on this website.

Unfortunately, the QRG program has been fully expended for this financial year 2011-2012. There are other funding or sponsorship opportunities available, check them out to see what you may be eligible for.

A Chance of A Lifetime!

The New York City Marathon is one of the toughest and biggest running events in the world, with 48,000 runners, two million cheering spectators and 315 million worldwide television viewers. If you are an Indigenous man or woman aged between 18 and 30, this could be your chance of a lifetime!

Applicants should be willing to inspire other young Indigenous men and women, and have an interest in wanting to make a difference by promoting a healthy lifestyle. If this is you or someone you know please fill in the application form on this link

Hendo's BASSINTHEGRASS T-Shirt Competition

Hendo's BASSINTHEGRASS T-Shirt Competition In 2011 a BASSINTHEGRASS design a T-shirt competition was introduced, the winning design went into production as the official BASSINTHEGRASS souvenir sold at the event. Jordan Vickers, Year 11 student at O’Loughlin College won the competition in 2011. The competition is open to all Territory school students and is judged by the Chief Minister.

Get your pencil sharpened, entries are now open and close Monday 2 April 2012.
